Why Driving is Frustrating for Awkward People

          pod5  I have been a pretty good driver so far during my six year driving career, no accidents or tickets. However I really do not enjoy driving. I find it very stressful, a necessary evil. Since the source of most stress is: people and their emotions, expectations, and judgment, the road is a natural stress-factory. In this article I will discuss the stress of navigating the current road system as an awkward and sometimes clumsy driver.

Vehicle and Pedestrian Etiquette

           vehiclepedestrian I often go for walks during the summer when the weather is nice. Occasionally I will run into a stalemate in terms of who goes first. I live in the middle of a college town in Wisconsin so there are seemingly equal numbers of; “arrogant assholes” and “overly-polite people.” In this article I will discuss some of the situations I have been in and how I try to avoid these awkward stalemates.

My Experience Driving a Prius and the Social Stigmas Involved

            I currently drive a blue Jetta Prius, there is a stigma that goes along with driving a Prius. If you are unfamiliar with the Prius stereotypes it is basically that Prius drivers=homosexuals. My previous car needed a new gas pump and I chose to get rid of the car and then I ended up getting a Prius. (Yes, straight people are allowed to buy a Prius though most choose not to.) In this article I am going to describe some of my experiences as a Prius owner.
